Data Protection

Since the protection of your personal data is important to us, particularly in connection to the preservation of your right to privacy in the processing and use of this information, Mondial Assistance International commits itself to comply with the following points:

Permission to Use Data 
By inputting your personal data, you grant us permission to store this data and to use it for processing purposes within the booking process and for possible later processing of insurance benefits. Only data thet is absolutly necessary for processing for collected, stored and used. 

Transmission of Your Data to Third Parties 
We do not transmit your personal data to third parties. Notwithstanding the previous sentence, please note the information on Data Protection in Case of Claims set forth below. 

Scope of Data Collection and Storage 
We collect and store the following customer data: 
-Personal data (customer name, e-mail address) 
-Travel information (travel date, travel price, travel booking date) 
-Account information (account holder, account number, bank number, credit card number, credit card company, credit card holder) In case of payment information that we transmit via e-mail, only the last four numbers of the account number or the credit card number are showed right. The other digits will be replaced with XXXX for security reasons. 

Security when Dealing with Personal Data 
We maintain appropriate and effective procedures to guard against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, change, and deletion. Data processing and transmission are carried out using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) process. 

Data Integrity 
We only process your personal data for processes/purposes for which it was collected. In doing so, we make use of economically appropriate measures to ensure that this data is necessary, correct, complete, and up-to-date for the intended purpose. 

Enforcement and Compliance with these Data Protection Statements 
Mondial Assistance International S.A. is committed to complying with the points listed above in connection with data protection as described. 

Data Protection in Case of Claims: 
In case of claims, claim data will be stored and transmitted as necessary to the relevant associations of the insurance industry and the relevant reinsurers for the same purpose, insofar as this is necessary for proper performance of the contractual relationships. The provisions of the German Data Protection Act regarding data transmission remain unaffected thereby. The addresses of the individual receivers of data will be provided upon request.
